Create a tablescape to set the mood and serve as the focal point so you can have the prettiest and most festive holiday party possible.
Inspiration can come from the changing seasons, touches of color, unique pieces and chic dinnerware to draw your guests in to an inviting celebration of friends, family and food. Not sure how to tackle your table? Follow these tips from the entertaining experts at CorningWare, Corelle and more to help you turn your table from simple to simply breathtaking.
Throwback tablescapes using family treasures
Use a family heirloom as your starting point to bring a totally custom and retro twist to the table. Using vintage serve pieces like CorningWare with the blue cornflower, or Opal glass decorated Pyrex will help to choose a color theme and will serve as a great conversation starter and ice breaker. Whether it's your grandmother's gorgeous glass Pyrex coffee pot filled with seasonal flowers that pop, or a retro tree topper, everyone at the table will notice and enjoy an unexpected piece.
Sweeten the deal
Nothing adds color and fun to a table like sweet treats. CW by CorningWare offers uniquely shaped bowls and soup mugs to fill to the brim with your favorite colorful holiday candy like Candy Corn. Fill a Snapware canister with mini candy canes or chocolates and marshmallows for after dinner s'mores. Get personal and create your own "Friendsgiving" cornucopia filled with treasures your guests will love, like old pictures, ticket stubs or their favorite candies.
Stay chic with the classics
Invest in quality, white dinnerware and serveware to easily transition from holiday entertaining to everyday use. Classic white plates complimented with white baking and serving vessels can serve as a blank canvas to add color and personal touches. Boutique by Corelle is a timeless dinnerware set that resists breaks, chips, scratches and stains providing durability to create the perfect table season after season. And French White CorningWare with its classic fluting makes every dish you serve look extra smart.
Add seasonal elements
Personalize the table with your favorite seasonal flowers, fruits and vegetables for an organic and fresh look. Think outside the norm and arrange your natural goodies in complementing colored and decorated coffee mugs from Corelle, with over 30 colors and designs. These elements bring pops of color and texture to amplify your tablescape. For arrangements, look for white lilies, red roses, green button poms and other festive greenery, such as berries, pinecones and sprigs of cedar. Not only will it look beautiful, but it will smell good, too.
Match it up
The best way to create a cohesive look is with full sets of dishes, glassware and silverware. You can get everything to complete your table at CorningWare, Corelle and more stores, which offer complete kitchenware collections from over 80 well-known and trusted brands including Corelle, CorningWare, Baker's Secret, Chicago Cutlery and Pyrex. Thanksgiving Harvest Tablescape
CorningWare & Corelle contacted me last week and asked if I would be interested in decorating our dining table with their products. I instantly had flashbacks of when I was a little girl in the 1970's. My Mom & Dad had CorningWare baking dishes. They used them almost every day, especially for Sunday dinner. My Dad would cook his famous baked chicken in the large baking dish, or his baked acorn squash in the smaller baking dishes. 40 years later, My Dad still has and uses these dishes. I think I made my point. read more...

So often we find it is the perfect time of the year to invite friends and family together to enjoy a meal together. I have to say I have fallen in love with my Corelle dishes, they are light, colorful, and they resist breaking. I used the set called Splendor, they are perfect for the holidays because they are white dishes with a beautiful accent colors of red and grey. I placed red flowers on my table, and I used red and grey napkins to my table for a pop of color. Enough about my table, how about your table? Do you have plans for your holiday table? read more...

A Fabulous Fall Tablescape
Recently, I was given the opportunity to make a tablescape using items from a Corningware, Corelle and More store. Decorating is something that I thoroughly enjoy doing so I jumped at the chance to get my creative juices flowing. I knew right away that I wanted to set up my tablescape at my Mom's house. She has a beautiful fall tree that she puts up in the dining room every year and it would be the perfect backdrop! Next, I headed to the store to pick out my tablescape items. There were so many things to choose from but I had an idea in my mind and knew what I was looking for. I decided on Corelle Boutique Swept for my dishes. These beautiful white plates can be used for everyday but also for special occasions. I already have great plans for these dishes at Christmas time! read more...
by She Scribes!
My family and I live in a teeny, tiny condo. I think it's karma for something bad I did in another life or something. I NEED more space. Not just because we are tripping over each other in our home, but because I love to entertain and decorate for the holidays and seasons. It's hard to do when you live in a "shoebox" and don't have a yard. Oh the things I could do if we had a bigger home…
I always joke with family and friends that there is a Martha Stewart wannabe trapped inside of me. I have so many wonderful ideas I'd love to execute in our home but we simply don't have the physical space to do them. read more...
