Oven-Barbecued Garlicky Chicken Wings

Makes 4-6 Servings

These wings are so delicious, you'll want to find the little bit of time it takes to make wings "from scratch" at home.

Ingredients

4 lbs. wings, trimmed and separated
1 cup ketchup
2/3 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp hot sauce or 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
6 garlic cloves, miced

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Place chicken wings in a single layer in a large metal baking dish or roasting pan. Bake chicken while making sauce.
  2. To make sauce, place remaining ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Pour half of the sauce over wings, and bake 20 minutes. Pour rest of sauce over, and bake another 20 minutes. Serve with blue cheese and celery.
